Logger Laps

  • Total of 4,000 laps! 

  • Donations are still coming in, hoping to have all donations by the week of 5/08/23. 

  • C: Judit: Fundraiser was a positive experience for the kids spirit and health.

  • C: Jennalle: All Saints is interested in sponsoring a child from each grade next year.

  • C: Harrison: Incorporate some fun and silly incentives for next year’s logger laps prizes like slime the principal.


New / Upcoming Events / Business:


End Of The Year BBQ

  • C:Arwen - Need a lead to volunteer. A: Judit - Will take the lead with Jennifer Ward.

  • LPSG can cover the cost for the BBQ.

  • All Saints can help with volunteers.


Lincoln Listening Session:

  • Tuesday, May 9th 5pm-6pm

  • Dinner, childcare and interpreter provided

  • Encourages parents to give feedback on: 

    • Curriculum and the content kids learn.

    • School Safety.

    • Communication with students and parents.

    • How do students and parents feel at school?

  • C: Judit: Would like to continue next year. Likes getting feedback from parents and wants to make improvements where needed.

  • Some changes that have come from Parent concerns from the Listening sessions:

    • More staffing for the playground.

    • Non - gender bathrooms.


Rescheduled Family Dance:

  • Reschedule date 5/11/23.

  • Planning is going well.

  • Guests entering through NW doors.

  • Make sure all kids have a parent with them.

  • No in and out privileges.



Teacher Appreciation Week:

  • Planning is going well; something special setup for everyday of the week.

  • Looking for more volunteers to help set up.

4th/5th Grade Movie Night:

    • Lower turnout than expected. Over ordered food expecting a larger turnout, as a result our profit was -$5.28.

    • Kids had a great time and enjoyed the movie night.

    • Some of the kids were left with no parent supervision. Need to stress next movie night that parent attendance is mandatory.


New / Upcoming Events / Business:


Family Dance:

    • Planning is going well lead by Allison Hooper of LPSG

    • Coming up on 2/23.  

    • Parent attendance is mandatory.

    • Need to check about front door security with Steve. 

    • Food for dance: pizza, salad, fruit, cookie, water and lemonade.

    • Not selling any candy or concessions.


Family Tech Talk:

    • March, 8th @ 4pm

    • Zoom Event 

    • Will discuss internet dangers that children encounter, and how to keep them as safe as possible. More info will be coming as the date nears.

    • Will have access to a recording of the event to preview again.

    • Need to promote event through flyers in English and Spanish.

    • There will be an ASL interpreter available. 


Kindergarten Movie Night:

    • Looking for shorter movies - approximately 1 hour long

    • There is leftover candy and drink from 5th grade movie night to sell at the concessions.

    • Need to communicate that this is NOT a drop off event and parent attendance is mandatory.


K-2 Literacy Night:

    • Teacher led event.

    • Not sure on the date.

    • Volunteers needed.

Welcome/Introductions:


Principal’s Report: Steve Lindblom

  • Movie night was fantastic, excellent turn out and excited to do another one.

  • The attendance to school events has been great, keep it going.

  • Would like to create different volunteer opportunities for parents, so everyone feels welcome and a part of the Lincoln community. Volunteer opportunities that are not always with the student, items working parents can take home, or prepping or teardown for an event.

  • Would like to have all Lincoln parents feel like they have a voice at the school and are working on having more opportunities for all to feel welcome.

  • Family Movie Night for 2nd & 3rd grade:

  • Successful event overall, profit of $367.62. 

  • Feedback from the event: guests were very social and the room was loud, some guests were hoping to hear more of the movie. Next movie night LPSG needs to remind guests what the expectations of movie night are, such as not getting on the stage, please use a quiet voice during the movie, and be respectful to others. 

  • Next movie night have more organization where guests set up blankets, possibly having some rows of chairs and also taping off lines to create pathways. 

  • Ran short on concessions, next movie night purchase more. 

  • Suggested to talk about smile accounts and give guests a tutorial on how to sign up before starting the movie.


Q: Jennifer - What about doing a Spanish movie night for some of our students and parents that are Spanish speaking?

C: Group thinks it’s a great idea, holding the event close to Cinco de Mayo, possibly showing Coco or Encanto and having it be a potluck. 


  • Chuck E Cheese:

    • Overall feedback, fun night and great turnout. 

    • Lincoln has another one scheduled for January 2023 if the board wants to do it again.


New / Upcoming Events / Business:


  • Holiday Market:

    • All Saints is donating $350 - $400 for Lincoln students that do not have money to shop.

    • First holiday market that ALL students get to shop.

    • Amanda Wong has a budget of $600 to shop, and can purchase more items if the market runs short.

    • Judit is donating bags for students to take home their gifts.

    • Need more volunteers for the holiday market.


  • FCRC - Food Drive & Mitten Tree:

    • Collecting food donations.

    • In need of volunteers for the Walk & Knock to collect food donations.

    • Mitten tree collecting hats, gloves, mittens, socks and boots for children in need.

    • Please get the word out about volunteering and donating food.


  • Logger Laps:

    • Megan Brannen LPSG lead looking to get around 5 sponsors to donate $1,000.

    • Would like to create a fun finish sign or balloon arch, looking into contacting some race companies for donations.

    • Brainstorming ideas to track the number of laps, possibly using running bibs.
